In order to have a successful year, you need to create a plan. You need to visualize what you want to achieve this year and beyond. It will take work, however, if you follow these steps you will be amazed at what you will accomplish for your personal journey.
S.M.A.R.T Goals
You may have to set these goals for work. However, creating a SMART goal can help you in your personal life as well.
SMART = Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Time Sensitive
What you need to do is make a clear action plan, Starting from your biggest goal then breaking it down into smaller goals over 4 quarters.
Example: Major goal for the year: Lose 8 pounds
smaller goals
Q1 (Jan, Feb, Mar) Cut down on carb intake and increase water to 6 glasses a day, exercise 2 times a week
Q2 (Apr, May, June) Cut down on sugary snacks, increase water to 8 glasses a day and work out 4 times a week.....

Once you create your smart plan write in a journal or get a yearly planner
Planning is more than just keeping up with your appointments. Organizing your life. Is about thing of your next move for your day, week, month and year. Planning ahead can help alleviate some stress of the unknown.
We know you cannot plan for everything. However, you can prepare yourself for most.
Every year I purchase a yearly calendar, as well as use the one on my phone and sync that with my computers. It makes it easier to be aware of appointments, meetings, and other priorities or errands you may have.
